Who We Are

Nari Sewa Kendra is a growing organization and work for the betterment of poor women. It has been active in the community development sector to identify the needs and work on the feasibility and implementation of a program to help the poor and women.

Nari Sewa Kendra has been focused on the community development sector with identifying the needs and feasibility and implementing the program for the poor of the poorest and women. It provides for their socio-economic and cultural development by enabling their participation in decision making, Planning, Implementation, sharing benefits monitoring and evaluation.

Nari Sewa Kendra also provides a wide range of activities and services to enable the needy, in particular women and underprivileged for livelihood, self reliance, to gain confidence in decision making and planning.

History

Nari Sewa Kendra (NGO) was renamed in 1994 (2054 BS) formerly named by Nari Hasta Kala Vikas Kendra in 1977 (2034 BS) with initiation of active women. In 1980 (2037 BS) it was registered in district admission Office, Kaski under the Organization Registration Act as Not for profit Non Governmental Organization.

In the inception period, Nari Sewa Kendra was confined in the skill development of the needy people to raise income through protection of traditional skills and resources. However, over he period, with its own experience and demand from the beneficiary it also facilitated in cross cutting issues like human rights, good governance, gender vilolence, peace process, para legal advice, basic infra structure etc.

Our Objective

The Objective of the Nari Sewa Kendra is socio-economic and cultural development of the poor of the poorest and woman with their own participation in decision making, Planning, Implementation, sharing benefits monitoring and evaluation.
